Deborah R. Fletcher, DVM, is a skilled veterinarian with more than 15 years of experience dealing with companion and exotic animals. She has experience caring for a variety of animals, including household cats and dogs, reptiles, birds of prey, and even primates. Before founding BestForPets, she worked as an associate veterinarian at several clinics in the United States, including Animal Hospital of North
Asheville and Tavares Animal Hospital.

She has volunteered as a veterinarian for several animal welfare groups, including the Humane Society of the United States and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and she is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians.

Her educational background includes a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Oxford University in 2006. Since then, she has sought additional training in a number of areas, including exotic animal medicine, pain treatment, and domestic pet behavioral difficulties.
Dr. Fletcher has also been published in a number of veterinary journals, including Veterinary Medicine and the Journal of Exotic Pet Medicine.
